About C.O.R.E.
What is CORE?
CORE (Christians Organized for Relief Efforts) is a network of like minded churches, organizations,
families and individuals banded together to serve our communities by being the tangible presence of the hands and feet of Jesus!

Our Mission
:
To provide the maximum amount of relief effort to all the people and places in need around the Globe

Our Vision:
To form strategic relationships in ministry, the market place and communities. To combine expertise and resources in a way that will provide the greatest impact in relief efforts.

How do we define relief?

Anything that relieves poverty, suffering, or hardship. Relief can come in the form of education, economic empowerment, food, material donations, medical aid, or disaster assistance.

How did we begin?
CORE was established in 2005 by two churches from Houston, Texas to assist in meeting the needs of people hit by Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast area. Ultimately, CORE housed nearly 9000 volunteers coming from all over the US and several countries as they rallied to provide relief to Mississippi citizens.
